A. Launch Rail
The launch rail is a 10 foot Blacksky launch rail using 2 1500 series rail buttons installed into the top and bottom centering rings.
Velocity off the rail is estimated at 41ft/sec.
B. Center of Pressure Calculations
Center of Pressure calculations were performed by Rocksim version 7.0
C. Aft CG limit
Aft CG limit to maintain a 1 body tube diamter ahead of CP based on Rocksin stability calculations is 37 inches behind the top of the nose cone. CP is 53 inches behind the top of the nose cone and the body diameter is 16 inches.
Hybrid Motors stabilize a rocket because the tank is far forward in the rocket; ahead of the empty GC. Therfore, the aft CG limit will be checked with an empty tank ensuring that the rocket is stable in the worse case.
